Disclaimer : Now really, if I owned the entire Potter franchise, why would I post my billion dollar work here? That's right, I DO NOT OWN THE CHARACTERS.
There was no indication of where water and sky met, just what seemed an infinity of endless ocean. The dark purplish-blue sky was alight with a full moon, giving the crystal clear water a sheen of added beauty, as the waves crashed softly against the shore. A slender figured woman dressed in a translucent nightgown walked barefooted across the wide sandy stretch of beach. In the moonlight, her porcelain like skin was clearly visible, leaving nothing left for the imagination of the man that watched this beauty.
Her erect nipples pierced against the cloth, as her long wavy auburn hair blew with the sea breeze. James felt his mouth go dry as his transfixed gaze traveled further down. Even from his view behind the window, some distance away, Lily's rather sexy and barely-there panties were just begging to be taken off.
The sand was a clean white, its fine texture simply flowing out of her hands like water as she grasped a handful. In doing so, Lily had bent down, in his direction. The view didn't help his stationery position, his body begging him to make a move on her. Still, James stood there, in their rather luxurious chalet. There were only 7 of the kind, stretched upon miles along the beach. It was made for privacy, honeymoons especially. It was for that reason neither Lily nor James minded the exposure of their bodies. Or their actions, as they had previously done so in the sweltering afternoon heat, rather naked and all over each other in the sand.
It was a one week holiday that the newlyweds had indulged in. A rather precious and costly indulgence. The wizarding world was at war, and James and Lily, unbeknownst to them, was right smack in the middle of it. Albus Dumbledore, the head of the Order of Phoenix, a secret organization the couple were a part of, had arranged this for them, as a wedding gift. Long before had he warned them to use this time wisely, for in the coming months, it would be a treasure worth more than millions of galleons.
The entire island was completely muggle, far away from Britain. They were in a tropical setting, where coconut water was the water, and pineapples were practically free. James took a deep breath. Lily had now walked down to the water edge, where the foamy waves engulfed her feet. She was looking towards the dark horizon, her shapely contours and eminent posture showcasing the most beautiful woman the hazel-eyed man had ever seen in his life.
And then she turned.
Her shockingly green eyes met his hazel ones, and just like every time that happened, James felt a tingling shiver down his spine, followed by jolt of electrifying pleasure. She mouthed with a saucy smile, "James, I love you". If this wasn't an invitation, James didn't know what was. A few seconds later they were in each others arms, languidly kissing before it turned into passionate, hungry, needy kisses.
Neither of them slept that night.
A/N - This is a one-shot. Hee, yes, I know, I'm a horrible tease. On ff.net I never figured it was worth continuing. And seeing as how I wrote this like 398644836584 years ago, I'm quite content to leave it as such.

You didn't use the update thread, obviously, because I only noticed just this morning that this was even here. I thought it was perfect as a one shot. Sometimes all we need are snapshots of special moments. I mean, we all know James loved Lilly, and vice versa, but we also know they died not too far in the future from this moment, so it's nice to see them here and to leave it here.
Loved the imagery, too.
Just a geat piece all around, Kavi. Really.

Thank you Robin, I appreciate that.
And lol, I posted this back in September. But it's okay, this is a DC site anyway, and I just put it up in the hope that maybe a Potter fan might pass by and pick it up for a read. Same goes for all of the stories in this forum by all authors, I suppose, since genre and ficdom is limitless.
As for your comments on snapshots... I agree. On the whole thing. I mean, to be honest, I wanted to you know, go the whole distance. But I simply couldn't, one because
they (as a writer, I think you understand this perfectly) wouldn't, and two, because I was simply not comfortable enough with my own penmanship to write sexually explicit scenes and do them justice. (
That has obviously since changed, heh. Thanks, David.)

I'll remember to use the update thread next time... XD
