okay. this is my first vampire story. ever. I got some inspiration from reading to much twilight and watching to much of Buffy the vampire Slayer and Angel. some elements in this fiction are from those books/ tv shows. there are NO SPARKLES. I find that to be very stupid. ya-da-ya-da-da here's chapter 1

Chapter 1:Katherine “Katy” Mathews-Lestat

“Katy, come over here,” my mama tells me to come over to her hospital bed, “I’m not gonna make it Katy-Bug,”

“Yes you will mama. You always do,” I told her with tears starting to form.

“Not this time Katy,” she said as I held on to her hand, “I have to tell you something I should’ve told your before this,”

“What is it mama?” I asked.

“You’re half vampire Katy,” she says looking at me straightly.

“What the Hell do you mean I’m half vampire?! Are you trying to lighten the fucking mood or something!?” I asked yelling at her.

“No, Katy, and watch your language,” she tells me, “Your father is a vampire,”

“I’m not believing this crap! You told me daddy died in an accident with his pickup!” I yelled at her.

“Quit yelling at me! I had to protect you Katy! He was gonna kill you and me when I was pregnant with you. I had en-soul him so he couldn’t hurt you Katherine!” she yelled back using my name for the first time in a long time.

“So you’re saying that Vampires are real? What else are you gonna tell me?” I asked her.

“You’re destine to kill vampires like I was at your age,” she replied back.

“How in the hell am I suppose to do that?” I asked her.

“You stake them through there non-beating hearts with a wooden stake,” she tells me.

“How do you know I’m a slayer then?”

“You have deep red irises like I have,”

“You say I’m half vampire, do I have any abilities like them?”

“You had visions and amazing speeds since you were little, like you’re father” she tells me before she looks at me and says”This is it, Katy,”

“Wait mama before you leave I have three questions, when you go, what do I do with the house, what’s my full name since you’ve never told me, and what is my father’s name?”

“You sell it an take the money and leave to find other slayers. Your father’s name is Demitri Lestat. Your full name is Katherine Demi Mathews-Lestat to honor your fathers name,”

“I love you mama,” I told her holding on to her tightly starting to cry more than I did before

“I love you to Katy-Bug. Be carefu-“ she said before she was gone completely. I swore to myself I was going to kill my father Demitri Lestat if it killed me in the process.

~At her funeral~

On her Headstone it said “Danielle Jordan Addison Mathews, you will be missed by everybody but most of all your daughter. 1972-2009" After what seemed like to be hours of me crying I walked home the long way to my mother house that I sold the day before. All of the sudden I heard something rattling. “Who the hell is there?” I yelled out. After nothing responded I took out my stake for protecting. Minutes later I heard the noise again and shouted out “Who the hell is there?!”

“You are so much like your mother when you do that,” I heard a voice say as I heard that voice creep out of the shadows.

“Who are you?” I asked him as he got closer.

“I’m your father Katherine,” he said.

“How the hell do you know my name?”

“I’ve watched you most of your life Katherine,”

“Well then. Why haven’t you kill me or taken me away yet?”

Because when your mother en-soul me, she made me feel the pain of the people I’d killed” he said walking right in front of me, “and either way I’d never kill my own,”

“Get away from me!” I said pointing the Stake towards him.

“Don’t do this Katherine,” he said.

“Then get the hell away from me!”

“Fine I will Katherine. I know I’ll be seeing you again,”

“In your fucking dreams Demitri,” I mumbled to myself. I got home and packed myself and I knew one thing and one thing only; I had to get the hell outta here.

This kind of reminds me of the Night Huntress series. I've only ever read half of the first book though, haha.
