Hey,

I thought it was about time I stopped being just a lurker and finally sign up. It took a while but I finally did it. Since this is an introduction section I better introduce myself.

I am actually a Sarah but everyone calls me Cecil hence my name. I am 26 and have two children. I *sings* come from the land down under...oops. Sorry. I am an Aussie and I dont really say g'day in real life. I have been blown away by all the talented writers on this site and have enjoyed reading some of the stories (I haven't gotten around to reading them all yet). I think that just about covers the basics for now. I am off to comment on some stories...

*waves to cecil/Sarah* I'm curious to know how you went from Sarah to Cecil....

And yes, we have quite the talent pool here, enjoy reading!

*waves back*. Sorry for taking so long to reply but life has been a wee bit busy.

To answer your question about how I became known as Cecil.

I have always been shy around people I dont know. When I was 15 my family moved and I had to start a new school. Since I lived in a little town, all the high school kids had to catch the bus into town. I ended up sitting with my brother, almost step-brother and about 10-15 other kids. Since my brother was there I really only talked to a few of them for the first 6 months or so and once he finished school for a while I kept to myself but still sat with them. (Really, I was so quiet that they got into the habit of counting how many words I spoke). My sister started school the next year and I slooooowly (I mean slower than a turtle with no legs slow) warmed up. The kids decided to give me a nickname I suppose since I was so quiet and nerdy and it turned out to be Cecil. They were pretty cool people though so I love it and even named my car Cecil. Even my daughter occassionally calls me Cecil and I am aunty Cecil to my niece. lol.

LOL, that's a neat story, Cecil! And it's cool, we get how real life can get in the way of our obsession... Like hello, I'm trying to show Cook some love here, stop bugging me.... Heh.

Are you still very shy? =)

Hello hello and welcome.

Where in Australia are you from? I spent a total of three months there - love it! Absolutely beautiful place anywhere you go!

Should we expect any fics from you? It would be awesome if you joined our little devilish circle, but thanks for coming out from lurkdom, it's much appreciated!

I am not as shy as I used to be but I had a horrible relationship that once it ended made me even more withdrawn. I have come out my shell alot since then but it took a couple years. I feel kind of awkward I suppose with people I don't know.

I live in a little town in central Queensland that has probably about 6000 people. In January though I am moving to South Australia to live in the town where I was born. I can not wait. So much more things to do there and we will finally get to meet my sister who my mum hasnt seen at all since she was made to give her up for adoption 33 years ago.

Umm, there probably won't be any fics from me. I'm not sure I would be any good at them. The last story I ever wrote was in year 6 or 7 maybe. I think I will stick with what I am good at and that would be reading.

Thanks again and I will see you around.
